Trail Overview
Mistletoe Road is a historic county road that serves as a core section of the Daniel Boone Backcountry Byway (DBBB). While the DBBB is expanding to a massive 1,300 miles, Mistletoe remains a staple for those seeking a moderately challenging off-road experience in the Red River Gorge area. Vehicle Restrictions: Strictly limited to licensed, street-legal, insured vehicles (e.g., Jeeps, trucks, dual-sport motorcycles). No ATVs or UTVs are permitted on this route.

Difficulty
Rated as medium/moderate. While it is designed for entry-level off-roading, it can become significantly more difficult during freeze/thaw cycles or heavy rain. It features a mix of dirt, deep ruts, and occasionally tight turns between mature trees. You may encounter "dry land bridges" (narrow passages with vertical drop-offs) and rocky sections that require careful tire placement as well as a fairly steep hill climb/descent, depending on the direction of travel.
