Trail Overview

This is a popular point-to-point road. Accessed from East Second Avenue in Afton. There is fishing and hiking along the trail. The popular Periodic spring trail is at the top of this road. It's a short 3/4 mile hike on an easy trail. There are a couple of small reservoirs for fishing as well as Swift Creek itself.

This is a well maintained road. There are pot holes and wash boards. It can be a busy road dust can be and issue. In most areas, there is room for 2 vehicles but it can be tight.

Trail is very dusty and lots of 2 way traffic taking you to the intermittent springs trailhead. The road has awesome views of mountains and a rushing river next to the road
