Trail Overview
This scenic route takes the back roads from Thermopolis to Lysite, Wyoming. The county road travels through private property, so stay on the road. The road is a gravel road until you cross the county line, and then it can become rutted. The road will eventually reach gravel again. There is a section of the road that takes you through oil fields and can be closed due to toxic gases, but a sign and lights will let you know if there is any danger. Along the route, you may see wildlife or cattle, and even sheep are often on the road, so be careful.
