Trail Overview

Trail Q41 is an easy ride out to an old hunting blind on the Quincy Sector of AOT. The trailhead can be very muddy, and may be particularly difficult for large rigs when approaching this while driving north on Q6/Q7 due to it being a hairpin turn. It may be best to pass the trail and turn around, as the entrance is also significantly off camber. Along the way are some gas wells, and the road becomes shelved in a few spots before crossing the power line right of way and ending at a little hunting blind. There is plenty of room to turn around at the power line, which is also a worthwhile view to the east and west. There is not much room to pass anywhere except for where it widens at the ridge; it opens up for the power line.

Difficulty

Entrance to this trail is very off-camber. Depending on which direction you're traveling on Q6/Q7, you may need to turn around to approach the trailhead. Beyond that, there may be some ruts and mud.

History

There is a small old hunting blind at the end of the trail and a more recent powerline cut just before that, giving a scenic view to the east and west.
