Trail Overview
The trail to Naneum Tower offers beautiful scenery throughout the journey. The views in every direction are stunning. At an elevation of 6,600 feet, temperatures are chilly, and it will be very windy. Be prepared by packing a hoodie or a hat. The trail consists of a mixture of dirt and small to medium-sized rocks, making some sections quite bumpy.

History
In 1945, an 8-foot log crib with a 12 x 12 foot living cabin was built. Then, in 1958, a 40-foot wooden tower with a Department of Natural Resources (DNR) cab was added. Unfortunately, the lookout was abandoned in the late 1960s, and at some point, it was removed. If you're exploring the area today, you can still find the footings all piled together just south of the main communication tower. It's a neat little piece of history!
