This route is the southern exit from Deer Camp to Chumstick Highway to return to Leavenworth. This is FS 300; leaving Deer Camp, head up the hill 1.4 miles to a great overlook camp spot on your right that will fit 3 to 4 rigs. At 2.4 miles, FS 300 runs into Upper Beaver; yield to the right to follow this road out to Chumstick Highway. The road is in good shape with hard-packed dirt. There are some avoidable ruts in the road that range from 4 to 12 inches deep. A few unavoidable ruts also run across the road, ranging from 6 to 8 inches deep.

Difficulty
The trail is a pretty typical Pacific Northwest Forest Service road. It is mainly dirt hard pack with occasional larger rocks. There are some washouts that can be avoided and a few that cut across the road that are 6 to 8 inches deep.
