Trail Overview

Doug's Loop is a short and easy ATV trail in the Walker Valley ORV Area. The north end starts out in a logging area with lots of fallen trees. Most of the trees that have fallen over the trail have been cut, except for a few that are elevated above the trail several feet high that you have to duck for, but can easily be ridden under. The trail continues east on a smooth and easy two-track. There are much fewer rocks and roots on this trail, but it does still have lots of curves, some whoops, and big mud puddles you have to ride through. It's mostly flat, only gradually losing a couple hundred feet of elevation over 1.2 miles. It also goes across a couple of wooden bridges over the small creeks. This is one of the easier trails in the area.

Access Description

The Walker Valley ORV Area is a small trail system with about 20+ ATV and dirt bike trails. ATVs must be 48" or less. The staging area is a dirt parking lot with a U-turn for trailers that is accessed off of Walker Valley Road west of Big Lake. It's a popular trail system, great for families and beginner riders. It is well-signed throughout the system, as it is a bit of a maze of trails. It has a mix of easy and intermediate trails in a lush and dense forest typical to the Pacific Northwest. A Washington State Discover Pass is required for all vehicles. It is very busy on weekends.
