Trail Overview

Coyote is about a 1 mile-long 48" ATV Trail in the Walker Valley ORV Area. The north end starts at the south end of the Tooler Single Track. It starts underneath tall and skinny pine trees on a wide path, with small roots and wooden bridges and lots of whoops. There are a couple larger roots and mud puddles with ruts, and rock ledges up to a foot tall that add a bit of a challenge. The trail goes through lots of intersections, and although they are all marked with signs, it is helpful to have a map here. It drops into one of the rock pit areas, before exiting back out of the rock pit and continuing to Ben's Revenge.

Difficulty

This is a 3 difficulty because although it is wide and easy for the majority of the trail, there are a couple of spots that have bigger embedded rocks that make it more difficult for an ATV. This is about a 2 difficulty for dirt bikes.

Access Description

The Walker Valley ORV Area is a small trail system with about 20+ ATV and dirt bike trails. ATVs must be 48" or less. The staging area is a dirt parking lot with a U-turn for trailers that is accessed off of Walker Valley Road west of Big Lake. It's a popular trail system, great for families and beginner riders. The area is well-signed throughout the system, as it is a bit of a maze of trails. It has a mix of easy and intermediate trails in a lush and dense forest typical to the Pacific Northwest. A Washington State Discover Pass is required for all vehicles. It is very busy on weekends.
