Trail Overview

A smooth, well maintained grade skirting the edge of the Olympic Mountains, BonJon Pass climbs up from Lord's Lake to just below the peak of Mt. Zion, offering peek-a-boo views through the trees of distant peaks and steep valleys. Accessible to most vehicles in summer, winter offers a patchwork of mud and moderate snowpack to plow your way through. Watch for a small lake at Deadfall Creek before you drop back down past Sleepy Hollow trail and return to sea level.

Not a technical 3, expected to have some fun and drive on a dirt road with gravel. Very well maintained. A slammed Honda could’ve made it the whole trail, your Subaru Outback will have no issues

An easy point to point drive, even in the rain and mud. Saw several group of target shooters, one RV, but pretty quiet.

Trail was in pretty good shape, some deep potholes and downed branches. Explored some of the side trails which will quickly become much more narrow and increased difficulty. Some campsite/clearings are clearly used for shooting. We camped one night on a good side trail and didn't see a soul.
