Trail Overview
Trail 27 is a quarter-mile more difficult trail, designated directional west to east. It begins with a very steep and rutted climb, where foot-deep ruts are filled with loose debris like sticks and rocks, making the ascent especially difficult in slick conditions. After the initial climb, the trail drops sharply down an equally steep and rutted descent before transitioning to a more gradual uphill section leading to the intersection with Trail 28, which is the start of the Razors Edge. This short segment demands skill and caution due to its consistently steep grade and challenging surface.
