OP 61

Trail Overview

OP 61 is a gradually descending route that begins at its north end on a wide gravelly path on the hilltops, passing through several large intersections that offer convenient rest stops and scenic viewpoints. As it moves south, the trail narrows and transitions into a shelf path cut into the hillside with occasional ruts and embedded rock surfaces. Despite these changes, the trail remains fairly gradual and easy overall, winding steadily down to its intersection with OP 87.
