CC1 (Part 1)

Trail Overview

This segment of CC1 is a wide, easy one-mile access road that begins at the staging area and campground, heading west into the Coal Canyon trail system. The surface consists of small loose rocks and gravel, with no technical challenges. This route also provides access to nearby points of interest, including the Honey Bee Project and public wildlife viewing shelters. Full-size vehicle traffic is common on this segment of the trail, so drivers should remain alert for oncoming vehicles.
