Route D1477

Trail Overview

Route D1477 provides a return route from Hell Roaring Rim to Spring Canyon Bottom. It is 1.6 miles. This allows travel to Hell Roaring Rim without completing the entire trail, and a convenient way back to the main park road. Cows may be on the trail or close to it, so be careful when passing.

Difficulty

This is an uneven, rutted dirt trail with potential for loose rocks and sandy washes. There's potential for mud holes and trail obstacles up to 12 inches, including ledges and short, steep grades. Roads are typically one vehicle wide with places to pass.
