Trail Overview
This short trail branches off of Greeley Hill Flats and heads straight up the hill, heading to Nutty Putty Cave. The trail starts smoothly with no large obstacles until after descending the small hill and reaching the base of the larger climb. This climb is littered with large rocks and ledges, with many having sharp edges. While not an overly technical crawl, the large rocks combined with the steepness could prove to be a challenge while heading uphill. The climb is worth it, however, as once you reach the top, you are greeted with panoramic views of the surrounding desert as well as the memorial at Nutty Putty Cave. This trail is open year-round but may be impassable when wet or if there is snow on the trail.

History
Nutty Putty cave was sealed off back in 2009 after a tragic accident in which John Edward Jones got trapped within the cave and was unable to be rescued. After the incident, the cave was sealed off and is now his final resting place. There are a handful of different plaques placed at the entrance to the cave that further explain the history of the cave.
