Trail Overview

This is an easy drive that will take you through a beautiful part of the Uinta National Forest on a graded fire and logging road. It's easily accessible by any 4WD vehicle. Soon after the beginning of the trail, you will pass Mill Hollow Reservoir, a great place to stop and catch a few trout. As you continue on, you will reach a maximum elevation of 10,000 feet and be rewarded with some spectacular views. There are plenty of opportunities to get off the main trail and explore and camp, and if you want to bookend your trip with some more great fishing, Current Creek is the perfect spot. The most spectacular time of year to run this trail is in the fall so you can see the leaves in all their glory!

Easily accomplished with moderate clearance. Some rough patches with deterioration and deep ruts coupled with a few moderate inclines and loose gravel so low clearance or 2WD may be a bad idea here. No issues on width and plenty of visibility for oncoming. Some beautiful panoramas in the high sections and runs through forest in the troughs. A good time. Nice dispersed camping sections up top. Will be wind and sun exposed so prep accordingly.

Mostly open with large patches of snow up high. Some of the roads were being cleared but the logging roads were impassable and the main road closed at Mill Hollow Reservoir.
