Trail Overview
This is an advanced segment of Link 4 that connects Link 5 to Sovereign and Lawson's Ledge. For 0.3 miles, the connector trail is made up of very tight switchbacks down a narrow trail on the edge of the mesa. It starts on slab rock on top of the mesa, with a few rock ledges. The downhill has some pretty gnarly exposure and is very technical between giant boulders. It's not overly rocky, but is very tight and narrow, making it very challenging. The trail system does not recommend uphill climbing, but it is not prohibited. Thus the ideal way to ride this trail is north to south. You can continue south on Sovereign Trail with more difficult features, or take the easier Lawson's Ledge out towards D3569 to exit the single-track system.
