Trail Overview

Part of the "Old Spanish Trail" original route in the Dixie National Forest. The trailhead is very close to the I-15. This trail follows a "little creek" most of the way. Very passible when the trail is dry. This is a good "choose your own adventure." There are many different trails you can connect to and can eventually connect to SR-20, then to US-89.

Difficulty

Potential for muddy trail that can have ruts. A portion is a very narrow canyon and can have a risk for water on the trail or erosion from heavy rains.

History

Part of the "Old Spanish Trail." This trail was a trading route from Santa Fe to Los Angeles in the 1800's. There was a somewhat recent fire, and a small portion that has a burn scar with new growth.
