Trail Overview

Spectacular 17 mile route through iconic desert spires, buttes, and formations. Think Monument Valley that you can actually drive right next to the monuments and wild camp - for free. This route is not hard, but you MUST pay attention to weather - if it rains, it flashes very easily and you can be stuck in here for up to a week.

Difficulty

Typically hard pack with some washes to cross. Nothing technical or hard and relatively flat. Pay attention to weather - if it's wet or going to rain, stay out unless you are prepared to stay in for up to a week.

History

Valley of the Gods is considered sacred by the Navajo - please be respectful.
