Trail Overview

This is a graded dirt road, maintained sometimes. There are several side roads you can take. You'll see open desert terrain but have views of the rims and cliffs as you drive down the road. This road starts from CR 316 heading west. CR 244 continues beyond this track, heading farther west and north. This is another desert road that's not recommended in inclement weather.

2024 Jeep JLU Rubicon w/Xtreme Recon. Dry and very dusty, but easy trail. There are a couple shelf areas that offer spectacular views of the canyon, but nowhere to pass oncoming traffic. There aren’t really any obstacles other than a couple little incline/decline parts, but any stock SUV should be fine. There are two gates you’ll have to go through, remember to leave them as you found them, which were closed for me. When you reach the “waterfall”, this can be considered the end of the trail. It does split back here, but due to time I wasn’t able to explore them. At the very beginning of the split on the left it is very off camber, 20 ish degrees and will flex your vehicle. Beyond that, though, I don’t know what the conditions are or how far they go.

Easy trail with some areas of washboard and slick rock. Some areas may be impassable with substantial rain storms Appears to have been recently graded; grader was still onsite parked off to the side. I drove this trail to get access to the Hanaker Trail (a side trail).
