Trail Overview
This 4.7-mile segment of Guys Trail is a fun desert singletrack with several rocky challenges. It starts in the south end on a flat dirt trail off of Ruby Ranch Road. Most of the trail is pretty easy. It has fast sections through the desert, but watch out for sudden curves. It has long wide sections of slick rock, embedded rock slabs, wash crossings with sudden dips, and fun hill climbs on narrow trails up to skinny ridgelines. There are often small rock ledges on the tops of the hills, but sometimes there's a bypass around the rock ledge. Some of the harder parts of the trail are steep and loose hill climbs with ledges at the tops. There are 2-3 more moderate rock ledge obstacles that make this a 5 difficulty. You'll have to go up a rock ledge obstacle on a hillside full of boulders. There's a trail cut into the stone with a couple-foot-high ledge, but it's like a ramp. The trail meanders the next hill next to huge boulders lining the trail. There's another very blunt rock ledge to get over soon after the first obstacle. Near the north end, it goes into a big wide wash with lots of tracks to follow and ends on Salt Wash North Road. Take this road to the west for half a mile to pick up the northern segment of Guys Trail. Also, watch out for road crossings and a small bridge over a pipeline about halfway through the trail.

Difficulty
This is a 5 difficulty for a few moderate rock ledge obstacles and several steep climbs. Many sections of the trail are much easier through easy sand washes and flat desert terrain.
