Trail Overview
This is an OHV route across Farmington Flats that starts at Bountiful Campground and loops around to Francis Peak Road. This trail has difficulty mainly due to the numerous deep mudholes that exist along the trail, which can be up to 3 feet deep depending on the time of year. The trail is generally rocky and rutted and has frequent traffic, as this trail has ATV trails that branch off of it. This trail is open from June 1st to November 1st, depending on the conditions. There is one obstacle that can be difficult as it has been rutted out badly and has a metal pipe running through it that is supposed to contain the creek, but is broken. The optimal route I've found is to avoid the mud hole on one side and cross over to the other side of the road to avoid the deepest of the ruts.
