Trail Overview

Baldy Wheeler Road is a short pass traveling between Dairy Ridge Road and Wasatch Ridge Road. This trail is mostly comprised of loose sand with some rocky sections scattered in between and is only one vehicle wide with limited spots to pass as you climb to the top. The trail is closed from September 16th to May 31st and may be inaccessible during early June due to deep snow drifts that may still be present. The gate on Dairy Ridge end is located 1.1 miles into the trail just after the seasonal creek crossing and on Wasatch Ridge, it is located immediately after the split from the main road. This trail is scenic as you travel over with good viewpoints off of Baldy Ridge (split 2.3 miles from Dairy Ridge, 2.7 miles from Wasatch Ridge) or from Baldy Peak (split 1.8 miles from Wasatch Ridge, 3.1 Miles from Dairy Ridge).
