Trail Overview

This short trail is a fun obstacle within Sand Flats Recreation Area. If you are skeptical of running Hell's Revenge, you can use this short trail to get a taste of the obstacles on Hell's Revenge. This is a short steep climb up the Lion's Back to traverse across it and then take a quick drop off the back of the Baby Lions Back (easier line off the back is to the right). The further left you go off the back the more steep the drop.

Started at the hump, right before you get down it (towards the bottom) there is a steep drop with 3 different lines. After that is/was the puddle... ih8mud, so I opted to turn around and take the rock back.

This trail would usually be moderate. It is such a nice and quick loop with a fun climb up the baby lions back and then a steep but smooth drop into the sand pit at the back. But today there was a big puddle at the end of the trail. When I went into the water, it came up to the top of my 35” tires. I probably would not do that level of water crossing without a snorkel.

Was raining when we did this. Did without lockers. At the end of the rock when dropping off the last part of the rock there was a pool of water up to the fenders at the exit.
