Trail Overview
Trail 521 is a 3.3-mile loop that splits off from Trail 520. A short section starts South from 521, but the trail then turns East and turns into a 2.6-mile loop. The track travels through short sagebrush fields without many obstacles getting in the way. Some larger pine trees/bushes creep into the trail and will make you swerve. The ground surface is loose dirt, and there are very few rocks in this area of 5 Mile Pass. The trail has higher speed and good flow, but does have road crossings to be aware of.
