Trail Overview

Sidewinder provides stunning views along the canyon rim, giving a rig and driver a substantial workout. Immediately after turning off Park Road West and onto the trail, drivers hit the first mogul, just an introduction to what's to come. Winding through mesquite brush trees along a series of very tight turns with dips and hills built into them, this trail will give longer wheel-based vehicles a challenge. The iews make every effort to get through this trail worth the effort. Before merging onto Merus 101 at the end of the trail, a steep decline, then a sharp turn into an incline with a two-foot wall to climb on one side. This trail can be run in reverse for a change of pace, starting from Merus 101.

Difficulty

This trail has lots of tight turns and short moguls that will stretch the suspension system on any vehicle. Longer wheel based vehicles will need to make three point turns from time to time. A steep decline that turns a corner into a short, steep hill with a 2 foot rock wall to one side marks the end of the trail.
