Park Road 3 Spur

Trail Overview

Park Road 3 Spur is primarily a dirt road extension of Park Road 3, serving as a connector through the northern section of the park. It's commonly used to access the park's northern areas or to reach the main overlook when coming from the North Pole. The route is generally straightforward, but it does contain a couple of mud holes that are deeper than they initially appear. Fortunately, each can be bypassed with plenty of room to choose a cleaner line.

Difficulty

The primary challenges on this trail come from the mud ruts, which can become deep and sticky after recent rainfall. Careful line choice is important, as avoiding these sections is often the easiest way through. Otherwise, the road is generally accessible, and most 2WD vehicles should have no issue navigating it as long as they stay out of the mud.
