Trail Overview
K-Bar Road is a backcountry, dead-end route inside Big Bend National Park that travels through open desert terrain with sweeping views of the Chisos Mountains. The road follows a dirt and gravel surface with sections of uneven terrain, embedded rock, and light washboarding typical of the park's interior routes. This route leads to two designated primitive campsites, offering remote desert camping with expansive views across the Chihuahuan Desert. The setting provides excellent sunrise and sunset opportunities, with the Chisos Mountains rising prominently in the distance.
