Trail Overview
Camp Point Trail bisects the largest and most popular camping area on the canyon rim. While it provides easy access to numerous remote campsites, it also takes you to the trailhead for amazing hikes and even more spectacular views at Eagle Point. This is a chronic bed-down site for both aoudad sheep and mule deer, so it is not uncommon to come upon a herd of 20 or more moving from one canyon to the next. This is one of the few trails in the park accessible by 2WD vehicles, making it a popular route for car and truck campers.
