Trail Overview

Typical central Texas dirt county road that only gets maintenance after rain washes it out. This is a nice side diversion to enjoy a few miles off of pavement while enjoying an old dirt road between old ranches. Drivers need to be aware of ranch and farm traffic on this tight road with sharp ditches on either side of the road that will high-center non-lifted vehicles.

Difficulty

Surface is a mix of hard-packed dirt, rocks, and exposed bedrock with ruts & washes after rain of any amount. The road surface condition will vary between solid and smooth, to rutted and loose, a few months after county maintenance. The road width varies from 2 cars wide to barely 1 car wide in some places. Motorcycles should be ready for loose rocks in the turns and irregular rock faces when the road surfaces change.
