Trail Overview

The trail is a maintained two-way gravel road that follows alongside Titus Creek and parallels active railroad tracks for much of the route. The surface is generally smooth and graded, making it accessible for most vehicles, but drivers should stay alert for occasional blind curves and loose gravel sections. Several railroad crossings add a bit of character and require extra caution.

History

One of the most interesting features along this route is the historic cemetery located just off the road. Some of the graves date back to the early 1800s, offering a glimpse into the region's early settlers. The railroad that runs alongside the trail has also played a significant role in the area's history, once serving as a key transportation route through this part of Tennessee. The remaining structures, including the old bridge, reflect that legacy and add a unique character to the trail experience.
