Oak Draw Road, also known as Custer State Park Road 3, is a scenic two-lane gravel road that cuts across the wide open grasslands of the park's Wildlife Loop area. This lesser-traveled route offers an easy and enjoyable drive, with sweeping views of the prairie and abundant opportunities to spot wildlife. The road is well-maintained and suitable for most vehicles, making it a great option for those looking to explore a quieter side of the park. Taking Oak Draw Road as a shortcut through the grasslands enhances the overall Wildlife Loop experience, offering a more backcountry experience. The road connects to the Wildlife Loop on both ends, with clear signage marking the entrances for easy navigation. A Custer State Park pass will need to be purchased at the beginning of the Wildlife Loop.

Difficulty
This is a well-kept gravel road that curves through open grassland. Throughout this route, there is 915 feet of elevation change, so be careful going up and down hills to watch your speed. The road is two lanes and provides a couple of areas to pull off the road for wildlife viewing.
