Trail Overview

Trail 576 is a varied dirt two-track that winds through tight forested terrain with a mix of conditions. Riders will encounter embedded and loose rocks, roots, and super dusty sections, along with smooth, fast, and flowy stretches. While not overly difficult, the trail demands attention due to sudden, sharp curves. At the intersection with Trail 576C, the main track continues onto 576C, while 576 branches north onto a more primitive, less-used route that narrows up, looking more like singletrack in places and may be overgrown or obstructed by downed logs. The trail later widens again on the east side and heads south along a straighter, easier access route, connecting easily to Trails 576A, 576D, and 576C. It continues all the way to the McCubbins staging area and campground. Though rocky in places, the gradual terrain makes it suitable for most average riders.
