Trail Overview

FS4260000 is a scenic gravel road that winds through dense forest, running parallel to Stone Creek and offering a peaceful drive surrounded by towering trees and vibrant spring wildflowers, including blooming Pacific rhododendrons. The road is mostly double wide, but expect some encroaching branches and a few downed trees partially blocking the track--passable, but tight in spots. The surface is generally smooth with occasional potholes. Around mile 3, the trail narrows, and by mile 4, it becomes quite tight--wide vehicles will get pinstripes. After mile 4.5, the trail widens again, offering a more relaxed finish. There are several spur trails to explore along the route, some of which may lead to secluded camping or additional forest routes. There are many spring flowers to admire.
