Trail Overview
Trail 18 is a five-mile route that starts with a straight section along a fence line and continues as an easy sandy and dirt trail with large whoops. It passes through dry ponderosa pine forest typical of high desert terrain before crossing a cattle grate into wide open sagebrush fields. While mostly smooth, riders will encounter scattered loose rocks, a few small climbs and descents, and sections with slightly more rock to add variety. The trail includes tighter turns through sagebrush and a straight stretch across a broad, flat top mesa with 360-degree views, berms, and deeper sand, making for a scenic and dynamic ride.
