Trail Overview

This is a gravel two-track trail that leads from Rock Springs Road to an overlook of a swampy area of West Branch State Park. The trail has some water bars that require some clearance to get over. It also has some steep up-and-down sections that could fill with mud in wetter conditions.

This is a great beginner trail that can easily be accessed by a stock vehicle. My visit was after heavy snow melt, most of the trail is gravel/dirt with intermittent mud “pockets” that vary in depth. If you visit this during a dry time I would rate 1/10 technical, after heavy rain or snow melt 2-3/10

Made it to the last drainage pipe and couldn’t get past due to approach angle and broken traction board. The mud hole was easy.
