Trail Overview

Township Highway NR3 is a rugged backcountry access road. Once you enter the road, it's like time changes, and you see a piece of history that many don't. This trail takes you through some of the thickest and most overgrown forests in Perry County. It has swamps, ruts, and some soft ground. Essington Lake features clear water and scenic views, making it an ideal place to rest, take in the surroundings, and reconnect with nature. It is one of the most rewarding destinations along the route and a place many visitors may never want to leave, serving as a reminder that places like this are still out there waiting to be discovered.
