Trail Overview
With many roads packed with tourists in the Hocking Hills, there still remain a few quiet back roads. This one may be short, but it's worth the trip. This gravel road doesn't get much traffic and will take you to a hidden gorge that you won't find on a park map. There is a small paved gravel mix at the first part, but it doesn't last long. As you climb the very steep, narrow hill, it starts to turn rough with small ruts and slick gravel. When the road begins to go back down the hill, it will have some tight blind spot turns. Once to the bottom, when you look to the side of the road, you will enter the gorge part. Not far off the road are huge cliffs, which even butt up to the road in some parts. The road isn't maintained and gets very slick in bad weather.
