Trail Overview

Trail 2 is a difficult ATV trail for vehicles 50" or less. It starts as a shelfy and smooth traverse across the mountainside, dug out in spots, with big sweeping corners, and fast between the trees, but has large rock obstacles for the majority of the route. Most of the obstacles are large embedded boulders, with roots, deep ruts, gaps between the rocks, tree stumps, and off-camber slopes. Some of the obstacles are during a steep hill climb. At one point, it rides up a long embedded granite rock layer that is unique and scenic. Some of these obstacles are pretty narrow and would be really difficult for an ATV. After the most difficult rock obstacles, the trail looks like it's mostly ridden by dirtbikes, and it narrows up in several spots between the bushes and between narrow tree gaps. This is a really fun one for OHV users looking for a good challenge.

Difficulty

This is an intermediate difficulty due to constant rock obstacles throughout the 5.3-mile route. The trail sign indicates that UTVS are not recommended because this trail is more narrow and would be too tight for UTVs in several spots, including on the rock obstacles and between the bushes.
