Trail Overview

Trail 6 is more moderate compared to the challenging 6A. It still features some steeper climbing with embedded roots and small rocks scattered along the way, and it hugs the mountainside on a shelfy path. Leaf litter can obscure the trail surface, so watch for rocks and roots. Going counter-clockwise, it steeply climbs for a quarter mile, then descends more gradually, staying pretty wide and manageable the whole way. The top of the loop at 3,676 feet offers lovely views from the Nantahala National Forest to the Blue Ridge Parkway, making this a very scenic ride.
