Trail Overview
Stage 5 is one of the easier segments of the Enduro Trail, serving as part of the bailout that connects back to the SxS trail 1A. There are low branches and downed logs to watch out for, and it goes through narrow shelfy terrain, but it is more open through the trees, with fewer roots and rocks than in other segments. It has steep descents over the leaf-strewn terrain and tight corners through the trees. It still has loose hill climbs, but they are more gradual than other segments. There is a tougher hill climb near the end of Segment 5 that is steep with loose rocks, which makes it a bit more difficult. This is one of the longer segments, at 2.3 miles, but you can cut out some of this mileage by taking the bailout at the end of Stage 4 and connecting to a later segment of Stage 5.
