Trail Overview

This dirt road is a scenic drive in the Grandfather District of Pisgah National Forest. It is open year-round and can be traveled in either direction. Gravel bikes and mountain bikes are popular on this road. There are 2 mountain bike trails that either start or finish on this road. There are some camping spots along the road, most suited for tent camping.

About the last 1/3 of the trail was obstructed by a huge downed tree that caused us to turn around.(no chainsaw) Otherwise the trail was clean no washouts flat gravel road great trail.
