Trail Overview
Trail 6A marks the bottom and most challenging portion of the Trail 6 loop. This half-mile segment delivers a steep, punchy climb, gaining around 340 feet of elevation from west to east. It kicks off with loose rock and water bars, quickly ramping up in difficulty as you ascend. The trail is narrow, well-used, and trodden below the forest floor. Embedded rock layers and ledges over a foot tall add to the technical challenge, requiring proper tire placement. The rock shelves are near the top of the steep climb. It's a regularly maintained route with cut logs and good visibility, but it's one of the more advanced sections in the area.
