Trail Overview

This 1.6-mile-long segment of trail is designated for dirt bikes only. It departs from another single track, and goes across a series of soft dirt hills, on a small ridgeline, constantly going up and down the rolling hills. There aren't any obstacles, and it only changes elevation by a few hundred feet, slightly going downhill from south to north. It's marked by a singletrack trail sign. You get a really awesome view of the La Plata Mountains to the north. The north end of the trail drops into a sandy wash. It's overall very easy, and it ends at another easy segment of ATV trail.

Access Description

The Glade Run Recreation Area is a high desert playground full of extreme rock crawling trails, sandy washes, and desert ridgelines. The southern 3,800 acres are an Open OHV Area, while the northern three-quarters of the rec area are limited to designated routes, which include unvegetated wash bottoms that are wider than the widest part of your vehicle. The main staging area is at the intersection of Glade Road and Pinyon Hills Blvd. The BLM has official ratings for the 4x4 rock crawling trails, but conditions and difficulty ratings are constantly changing in the desert.
