Trail Overview
This loop starts from an oil well access road and enters the desert terrain on a mid-width trail ideal for 60" SXSs, ATVs, and dirt bikes. Going counterclockwise from the south, it goes out onto a ridgeline on the soft clay dirt hills in this badlands-type terrain. The ridgeline has a lot of whoops. It dips lower into the desert off the ridgeline, on a narrower trail between the pinyon trees, with ruts and slightly off-camber slopes. Then it turns onto a wider oil well access road. It goes into a wide sandy wash that is smooth and easy. There are lots of intersections and other tracks out here to explore, and there are no trail markings, so it's helpful to have a map. It leaves the wash on a narrow more rugged trail and heads towards some of the oil wells. It has a big dip and washout that will require high clearance.
