Trail Overview
This narrow but fairly well-maintained road acts as something of a hub for most of the trails in the southern part of this slice of Carson National Forest. Cedar Springs primitive campground, the Gas Buggy Interpretive Site, horse corrals and several Forest Service roads that lead east off of the mesa and back to BLM land can all be accessed from this loop. Driving the loop itself, a forest of primarily ponderosa pine, blue spruce, and scrub oak occasionally opens up to mountain meadows and seasonal wetland areas.

Difficulty
Camper trailers and fifth wheels can travel this trail, paying attention to the width of the road in those places it is especially narrow.
