Witney to Lake Mead

Trail Overview

A long 100+ mile round trip on easy terrain. Loose sand can be found near the beach which may be difficult for 2 wheel drive vehicles. We came across a herd of wild Burros digging wells in the middle of the road. Keep on the lookout for holes when approaching the last 2-3 miles from the reservoir.

Burros digging wells for water leaving 2-3 foot holes in trail, ruts in road hard on axles and tires at 30mph... temp in summer can exceed 100, so recommend vehicles with A/C in summer, otherwise bring extra gas if using UTV'S
