Trail Overview
The route takes you along the east side of the dry lake bed and up into the Nightingale Range. Up in the hills are two, 1950s school buses that were used to transport workers to the mines in the area. You will also find the foundation of an ore processing mill. Not much is left of the mill. The road is a firmly packed sandy trail that follows the ancient shoreline. Look for caves in the Tufa formations as you drive along.
Difficulty
The road is made of packed sand the has some large washes from erosion. Very little elevation change.
