Trail Overview
The Narrows is a pole line road that runs between Fernley Nevada, and Winnemucca Lake. Winnemucca Lake is a dry lake bed in northwest Nevada that features the oldest known petroglyphs in North America. It is quite remote once you get out of Fernley, cell service is spotty, and you may not see anyone for the whole trip. This is a great road to test out your vehicle setups as there is plenty of BLM land to camp on. Once you reach Winnemucca Lake there are old mining ruins you can explore even some deep sand to go play in. You can head back to Fernley on Highway 447 or out to the Black Rock to continue your adventure.

Difficulty
This is an unmaintained pole line road. After heavy rains, the trail can be impassable if it is still wet. There is a possibility of a tumbleweed drift blocking the road in a couple of places.
