Trail Overview
Pine Canyon Dam Road crosses a relatively flat Sage Brush plain with heavy Cedar trees in the distance. A large wild horse herd frequents the area, evidenced by many large piles of horse manure scattered at random locations along the road. This is a show of dominance by the stallions of the herd. Please keep your distance, as these are wild animals and can hurt you, should they feel threatened. Be cautious on the road following heavy rains or during early Spring. The water can and does wash away the road, leaving small ledges and soft ground.
