Trail Overview

The trail starts on Dixie Valley Road and loops around the back of Chalk Mountain. Once on the back side, there are a couple of steep climbs with loose rocks and washouts to navigate. There are numerous open mine shafts in the area, so be mindful of kids and pets. Most of the open shafts are fenced and marked, but this area is very seismically active, and things may appear.
